CNN —Mexican authorities have detained the brother of the drug kingpin known as “el Mencho,” a federal source with knowledge of the case told CNN Monday. His brother, Nemesio Oseguera-Cervantes, is the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador confirmed the arrest early Monday and said the government would provide more information later in the day. “El Mencho” is wanted by US authorities, who have offered a reward of up to $10 million for information on his whereabouts. In the past, the Mexican government has labelled the Jalisco New Generation Cartel as one of the most dangerous cartels in the country.

Luisa Roldan's 1692 sculpture “Saint Michael the Archangel Defeating the Devil (El Arcángel San Miguel venciendo al demonio)" will be on display for the first time at the Royal Collections Gallery in Madrid, Spain. The exhibit starts with the Hapsburg monarchs’ royal collections — located near the old city wall exhibit — and then one level below, the Bourbon dynasty collections. THENIN THE 1930s, exiles from the Spanish Civil War, living in New York, leased the Hotel Chelsea Restaurant, an eatery inside the decades-old apartment-hotel and artists’ cooperative on 23rd Street. They renamed the space after Don Quixote, a nod to the hotel’s literary cachet and created a fantasy shrine to their homeland. The 200-seat El Quijote also had a door next to the Chelsea’s lobby, luring guests like Arthur Miller and Dylan Thomas with hearty portions of Spanish fare served by waiters in scarlet blazers.

„Muzeul Prado iese în stradă”: expoziție în aer liber și filme spaniole la ChișinăuO expoziție în aer liber, cu genericul „Muzeul Prado iese în stradă”, va fi deschisă publicului la Muzeul Naţional de Istorie a Moldovei din Chişinău, în perioada 1-31 iulie anul curent. De asemenea, pe parcursul lunii iulie, iubitorii de film se vor putea bucura de nouă filme spaniole grupate în scurte cicluri tematice: filme de comedie, clasice, filme regizate de femei, drame şi de animaţie. Accesul publicului va fi gratuit, în limita locurilor disponibile şi cu respectarea normelor de protecţie şi distanţare socială. „Plácido”este o bijuterie a operei cunoscutului regizor Luis García Berlanga, de la a cărui naştere se împlinesc 100 de ani, în anul curent. Cele două evenimente culturale sunt organizate de Ambasada Spaniei la Bucureşti, în colaborare cu Muzeul Naţional Prado din Madrid şi cu sprijinul Muzeului Naţional de Istorie a Moldovei şi al Consulatului Onorific al Spaniei la Chişinău.
